Newly remastered for vinyl, this performance from the Flood Zone in Richmond, VA epitomizes a classic era in the band’s early history. The show starts with a now retired Spotlight and continues to versions of Lie In Our Graves, with a drum and sax breakdown, and a slower tempo, yet still fiery Halloween;. This recording is intimate and one of a kind.

OMG listening to these albums takes me back to my freshman year of college when I was first introduced to the Dave Matthews Band! Wow! What great memories! And Dave sounds so young!!

Since actually being present for this show , it will forever be with me to hear over and over . My son now shares his Dave love with me and we do it together . We will let him listen to purity at its best and what it has transpired into through the years with each song recording and live play . He now likes to read and understand the words , sometimes / because some don’t make sense . I think that’s why he loves Dave and especially Tim and his guitars !! My husband took me to the Flood Zone all the time and introduced me to him in bar mode as I had already experienced him in Barn mode for awhile . Hahaha - We take our son everywhere with us and let him know not to waste a day . You never realize how Lucky you are everyday you wake up ! When he finally could kinda make sense of his surroundings in his growing mind , he asks me if we are Gypsies because we dive around a lot and do short adventures……. Teaching him never to stop moving … thank you for your cool vibes
